The quality of the meet was outstanding. Julia is now in a tie for the NCAA lead with a mark that will, for sure, grab her a spot at the indoor championships. She did that from a short run and then retired as she is just getting over a small foot injury. She will skip the meet next week and jump again at Louisville the week after. The meet was won by volunteer assistant coach Bridget Williams who took the World lead with a jump of 4.76m (15 '7.5"). She two very close attempts at 15'9 1/2". 2nd place went to our student assistant coach in Rachel Baxter who had her strongest ever season opener at 14'10 and then good PR attempts at 15'3. The rest of the girls had a solid first meet with Kenna and Journey grabbing spots in the early NCAA top 10 and Erin getting a nice jump at 13'1" to win the unseeded section of the meet Friday Night.

On the men's side Jacob Rice had two nice attempts at PB after recording a nice 17'1 season opener. The men's meet was won by another volunteer coach and Tech Alumni in Deakin Volz who jumped 18'5" and had one very close attempt at a PB 18'10".

GO HOKIES! .....
